Westview Takes Top Seeds in Soccer Playoffs

High School boys and girls soccer playoff pairings for the San Diego Section were announced Saturday.
For the boys, Westview High School earned the No. 1 seed in Division II. Other No. 1 seeds went to Poway in Division I, St. Augustine in Division III, Coronado in Division IV and Borrego Springs in Division V.
For the girls, Westview also received the top seed in Division II. Other No. 1 seeds were Torrey Pines in Division I, Cathedral Catholic in Division III, Bishop’s in Division IV and Santa Fe Christian in Division V.
Both Westview teams received a first round bye, as a resulting of the seeding.
First round competition begins at 5 p.m. Wednesday. In the girls bracket, Mount Carmel High School – which finished with a 5-13-1 season record – visits West Hills.
