Mt. Carmel’s Eric Chavez Hosting Baseball Clinic Oct. 24

Silver Slugger award winner, six time Gold Glove winning third baseman and Mt. Carmel High School graduate Eric Chavez is hosting the second of a two-day baseball clinic for high school students Oct. 24 at Del Norte High School.

Participants will have the opportunity to showcase their skills and learn proper mechanics with current/ former major league players and coaches.  Instruction for each participant will include a series of exercises at their respective position(s), batting techniques, base running, and one-on-one training with coaches and players.

Check in is at 9 a.m. and camp activities begin at 9:30 a.m, and end at 2:30 p.m.  Del Norte High School is located at 16601 Nighthawk Lane, off Camino del Norte in 4S Ranch.

Each participant must have a signed medical release form in order to participate. Family members, coaches and other spectators are welcome to attend the festivities; however, they will not be allowed onto the playing fields.
