Eight Candidates Vying for Poway School Board

Two additional candidates have joined the Poway Unified School District board of trustees election.
John Gunderson of Carmel Mountain Ranch and Tom Giles of Bernardo Heights are the latest of eight total candidates seeking three positions on the district board, which includes schools throughout Poway, Rancho Bernardo, Rancho Penasquitos, 4S Ranch and surrounding areas.
Candidates already filing or announced include: Incumbents Todd Guschow and Penny Ranftle; Stan Rodkin of Rancho Penasquitos; March Davis of Poway; Kim Beatty of Sabre Springs; and Frederick Pierce of 4S Ranch.
